The Asean Economic Community (AEC) is eyeing Thailand as its manufacturing hub for textiles and garments, given the country's high technology and skilled workforce. The textile and garment industry here is expected to benefit the most from Asean's integration, which took import duties down to zero early this year. Thus, Thai manufacturers will get more channels to expand markets so they need new technologies and business factors to gain more competitive advantages. 

 

Under the theme “Dress Up Your Competitiveness in AEC,” GFT will arm the whole community with all the factors required to drive your business growth in terms of technologies, know-how, trends, networks and promising opportunities. To help promote the technology and innovation application for Thai garment and textile industries, GFT 2015 will be a one-stop single platform to showcase the latest textile & garment machinery and technologies. 

 

Aside from the exhibits on the fair ground, highlighted activities include ASEAN Garment and Textile Summit and Business Matchmaking to allow exhibitors, visitors and business delegations to receive an exciting and in-depth perspective on the current and the future trends of the industry. 

 

The 2015 edition will welcome more than 16,500 domestic and overseas visiting industry professionals to network with 250 leading brands from 25 countries along with 500 executives who will attend the ASEAN Garment and Textile Summit.

 

With impressive tracks of records and proven business results, GFT was recently awarded a certification from the International Exhibition Association or Union des Foires Internationales (UFI) which an international authority that recognizes and certifies various international exhibitions that qualify for the development of competitive exhibition contents. 

 

Part of the quality process to obtain and maintain “UFI Approved Event” status involves the auditing of exhibition statistics for the total net exhibition space and the number of domestic and international exhibitors as well as the number of visits or visitors. Independently derived data provides a clear basis for potential clients to make accurate decisions regarding the shows in which they should invest.
