There is a power shortage in Vietnam. Many domestic textile factories have local production bases, production lines or foundries. The textile industry pointed out that the current global textile industry is affected by inflation and inventory. The market is not the peak season. The production lines have all cut production. This time, there are frequent power outages in the local area, and the impact on the overall production is not very big. Garment factory Juyang even pointed out that the factory has its own generators and other facilities, and it is not even affected.
The market pointed out that Vietnam's local infrastructure is relatively lacking, coupled with the increase in foreign investment in recent years, and the presence of high energy-consuming enterprises, resulting in electricity shortage and unstable electricity in Vietnam, which mainly relies on hydropower.
Nanfang, whose factories are mainly located in South Vietnam, pointed out that the chemical fiber product market has been affected by factors such as inflation and customer inventory. Lines are down. Therefore, the power shortage and unstable power this time did not affect the factory as much as imagined.
Ru Hong, a major garment manufacturer, pointed out that the main production lines are in South Vietnam, although some OEM factories are in North Vietnam. However, because it is not a large electricity consumer, the current foundry production line has not been affected.
Juyang, another garment manufacturer, pointed out that it currently has production lines in both South and North Vietnam. However, the factory in North Vietnam has its own generator, so the production is not affected by the power shortage, and everything is normal. It can be said that it is not affected by the power shortage at all.
For long-term power supply and in response to the global carbon tax, textile and fiber companies with factories in Vietnam said that they have built new solar panels for power generation in local factories, or are planning to install solar power generation facilities.
